Weddings

Today our friend's daughter is getting married. I have observed over the years that weddings tend to be a big deal for the women and not that big a deal to the men. Personally I am not a big fan of weddings and all the trappings that go with them. I think a more simplictic approach to weddings in our culture would be wise. Often lots of time, money and energy are spent for such a short celebration. I have talked to many people about their past weddings and most would have done things differently. I have heard some say they wished they had the money that was spent on the wedding and put it toward the start of their new life together. Those sentiments often get lost in the moment though as people prepare for the big event. Congratulations Trisha and Paul and Lord Bless.
