Ancient Words

Last Sunday we sang a song we had never sung before at our church. It is called "Ancient Days" and was written by Michael W. Smith. The song is a great reminder of what the Word of God is. I look forward to singing it many more times. Below is a version of the song as sung by Steve Green. The words are included in the video. The word of God may be old, but it is not old fashioned, It may be ancient ,but it will endure forever, and it may talk about things that happened many years ago but it is more relative than any other book that has been written or ever will be written. Read it, Study it, Memorize it, but most importantly Obey it!

James 1:22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.
